The much anticipated Match Kicked off with the roaring blues going all out from the very first minute of the game hunting for an opener but some minor finishing mistakes denied the blues. Minervans were all over the CFA players which saw majority of the game in their backyard but a much anticipated opener from the blues remained the difference between both the sides. Nongdamba’s cracker from a distance at the goal in the very 10th Minute brought the spectators at the edge of their seats but an alert CFA Goalkeeper Devansh did well to deny the visitors an early lead. To add much more excitement to the game the empty seats in the stadium started filling quickly to witness the grand finale. The next 20 minutes saw the blues dominating the game with some exciting footwork on display in the midfield and using the flanks quite efficiently to break down the opponents defence only to see their efforts fail in the end as the score remained 0-0, Azharuddin volley off the box missing the crossbar by inches marked the end of the first half as both the teams went for a break with a 0-0 scoreline.

The second half saw both the teams afresh, determined to break the deadlock but the young Minervans were better in their job scoring in the 50th Minute to take a 1-0 lead as the local lad Amarjit did the honors smashing in the back of the net after some beautiful built up in the centre of the game. The Minervans didn’t look satisfied after having the lead as the next couple of minutes saw Nongdamba and Sahajahan playing some beautifull one-touch football to tear up the CFA’s back four. CFA started to build from scratch as they played in some dangerous long balls in the Minervans backyard but some fierce and quick defending from the Minervans averted the danger, one of such moves even resulted in a counter attack with Minervan Azharuddin making the best of it swifting past the CFA’s defenders to slot in the second goal for the blues with a cool and composed finish in the bracket. It wasn’t too late for the Minervans to add another to the number as Nongdamba was back to what he does best! Scoring a goal to make it 3-0 for the blues. The last few of the game seen CFA looking for a consolation and Minervans hunting for the 4th Goal of the evening until the refree blew the final whistle to put an end to a thrilling one-sided Finals played in a housefull stadium. Infact Nongdamba, Minerva’s striker broke all past records of the Administrator cup by scoring a whopping 20 goals through out the tournament.
